We the undersigned, Ghanaians by birth and origin, in our perfect state of mind, resolve to portray in oneness a good image of our motherland, and being explicitly convinced that "Unity is Strength" have decided unanimously on this day, 17th July 1993, in the year of our Lord, to create an association with the name Ghana Union Ruhrgebiet.
The Union shall be registered officially and be managed on the basis of bilateral and self-help relationship thereby promoting and/or enhancing the traditions and cultural heritage of our motherland.
We, the following members, shall belong to and be recognised always by the union, which shall be governed by a democratic constitution, as its founding members.
The Union shall maintain a permanent headquarters in Oberhausen.
